Hi Friends!
With spring finally here, the Grand Rapids area is starting to look so pretty for any type of session. The flowers are blooming, the evenings have that soft golden light, and everything just feels fresh and full of possibility! If you’re thinking about booking a session this April or May, here are some of my current favorite spots that are looking especially beautiful right now.
Millennium Park
Open fields, tree lined paths, and pretty water views make this spot feel light and airy. It’s great for people who want a relaxed, classic West Michigan vibe with tons of natural light.
Riverside Park
The walking paths along the Grand River are lush and green right now, with open grassy areas and that iconic Grand River in the background. It’s perfect for sweet, natural photos and feels peaceful without being too crowded.
Downtown Grand Rapids Riverfront
The mix of nature and city vibes is so pretty this time of year. The colorful bridges, river views, and skyline create a cool backdrop, especially during golden hour. This spot is also great for that mix of city and nature vibe.
Grand Ravines
Wooded trails and rolling hills give this spot a quiet, timeless feel. It’s one of my favorites for storybook-style photos with lots of trees and soft light.
Blandford Nature Center
The trails are full of tall trees and wildflowers right now, with lots of shaded spots that feel like a little escape from the city. Perfect for people who want a natural, peaceful setting.
